TRIED & TESTED: Søstrene Grene - Make-up Brush Cleaner

There’s no time like a nationwide lockdown to deep-clean your make-up brushes. This nifty little tool by Søstrene Grene will help you complete this long-overdue task in no-time.

The product

Meet the make-up brush cleaner by Søstrene Grene (if anyone could teach me how to pronounce that - that would be great). This small tool is designed to help you get dirt and buildup out of your make-up brushes, leaving them cleaner than ever. I went for pink, but its available in other colours, too.

Whenever I wash my make-up brushes - wish isn’t as often as I’d recommend nor as much as I would like - I use the palm of my hand to clean the bristles. I put a generous amount of baby shampoo in my hand, run the brush under water and clean it in my hand - rinsing and repeating until the water turns clear.

The review

You can imagine that in times like these, you don’t want your hands to be covered in soap for half an hour. And that’s where the make-up brush cleaner by Søstrene Grene comes in. You slide it over your fingers and use the platform as a base to clean your brushes. The ribs and texture help you get everything out.

I used this in combination with baby shampoo and was pleasantly surprised. I like the design: it was convenient to use and it made it super easy to get buildup from the sides of the bristles, which is something I struggle with when I do this in the palm of my hand.

The price

And the best part of it all? This little sucker is only € 1,26. I love Søstrene Grene for its aesthetic and prices - and this just became one of my favourite products from them.
