Your eye area is one of the first places that reveal you haven’t been catching al those zzzs. But if eight hours a day is an unattainable amount for you, a good eye cream goes a long way in making you look fresh.
Initially, I was sceptical about purchasing skincare from Primark. They’re not always known for top-notch quality and do you really want to apply something questionable to your face? But the fact that beauty editor Alex Steinherr was involved in these products from A to Z was reassuring, so I picked up a couple of her products. Including the Sleep Spa Every Night Eye Mask, marketed as a ‘reviving, smoothing and energizing eye infusion’.
First of all: the Sleep Spa Every Night Eye Mask‘s packaging is cute. It’s plastic and feels a little cheap, but for € 5, I wouldn’t expect anything fancy. It comes with a pump, which I love, especially in products for the eye area. Since the skin is extra delicate there, you wouldn’t want to apply anything that is even a little off.
The gel itself is transparent and feels light and silky smooth. It’s infused with hyaluronicacid, willowherb and calming chamomile to soothe and depuff your eye area. You’re supposed to apply this every night before you go to bed.
And so I did. And while the product feels nice, it didn’t work for my skin. In fact, I even ended up with some milia under my eyes which I don’t normally get. I stopped using it since. It’s a no for my skin type, but it might work for you.
One good thing? It’s only € 5. So if you’re in the market for an eye cream that doesn’t break the bank, this could be the one for you.
