Ever experienced eczema? If you haven’t: count your blessings. If you have: keep reading. This might be the product for you.
At the end of last year, I struggled with some eczema around my nose, mouth and chin. It was there for a couple of months and since I initially thought it was just some redness and drypatches, I tried every trick in the book (/every product in my beauty stash) to make it go away.
Little did I know, it probably made it worse. When I finally went to see a dermatologist, he gave me a prescription that – thank god – helped clear it right up. It that hadn’t been the case, I would’ve needed to come back with every product I applied to my face in the previous six months.
I lol’d.
My dermatologist didn’t.
Long story short: eczema is a b and I wanted to try anything under the sun to keep it from coming back. Enter La Roche Posay’s Toleriane range, and the Toleriane Ultra Fluide in particular.
La Roche Posay’s Toleriane range is targeted for ultra-sensitive skin that is prone to allergic reactions. The products are fuss-free and focus on basic ingrediënts that a sensitive skin type actually needs. No bullshit, but that means no fancy gimmicks/scents/fun stuff either. Very plain.
I was on the lookout for a new facialcream that wouldn’t cause any reactions and ended up with La Roche Posay’s Toleriane Ultra Fluide. I opted for the Ultra Fluide since it’s targeted for mixed to greasy skin types.
This product is both boring af and exciting as hell. I love it because it’s exactly what my skin needs. I haven’t experienced any dry patches or red areas and my skin feels good overall. It’s a thin lotion that applies easily. One pump is all you need.
Another thing I love about this one is the packaging. It’s probably as hygienic as it can get. It’s a clear pump bottle and the actual product is in a pouch that contracts with every pump, so no air can spoil the ingredients. The bag also helps you get out every last drop. Since it isn’t cheap, I love being able to use all of it.
La Roche Posay Toleriane Ultra Fluide retails for about € 18 (40 ml). I’m on my second bottle now and plan on repurchasing as long as my skin is happy with it.
