FRIDAY FAVOURITE: Yves Saint Laurent – Volupté Tint-in-balms

Yves Saint Laurent Tint-in-balm | Beauty review | himartine.com

I live for lip products that are easy, beautiful and not too obvious. The Volupté Tint-In-Balms by Yves Saint Laurent tick all those boxes.

The product

The Volupté Tint-In-Balms by Yves Saint Laurent are described as ‘a lipstick combining melting balm care with glowing sheer colour.’ Since that’s exactly what I’m looking for in a lip product, these have been a staple of mine for a couple of years now.

The review

I’m not really a lipstick person. I don’t like don’t high-maintenance products where I need to check if I’ve applied it correctly or if I have any lipstick on my teeth. In short: if it’s not a no-fuss lipstick, I’m not tempted to wear it.

The Volupté Tint-In-Balms have a luxurious logo-embossed exterior. The inside has a cute lip-shaped centre that makes the product fun, too. They have a variety of shades, that – tbh – all look pretty similar but are beautiful in their own way.

I love these for their ease of application. You don’t need to use a mirror when applying one, and the colour – while beautifully subtle – will stay on your lips for quite some time. It actually is very nourishing: there’s no need to apply lip balm when you’re using these.

The price

This kind of quality – agonizingly – doesn’t come cheap.  At € 35,90 apiece, it’s definitely a treat-yourself kind of product. However, if I run out, know that I’ll be treating myself to another one of these.
