I don’t necessarily like to move it, move it, but when I do, I want to keep chafing to a minimum. Last year, I tried (and approved) Smoovall, but as I was looking for something a little more durable, I picked up the Akileïne Sport NOK Anti-Chafing Cream on my recent trip to Paris.
I’m sure I’m not the only one affected by chafing when it’s hot out and you move a lot. To keep my thighs from sticking together and burning, I have used Smoovall in the past. It’s a good product, no doubt, and it gets the job done, but it runs out fast and will break the bank if you need to repurchase it a lot. So I went on the hunt for something more affordable that lasts longer.
My sister introduced me to Akileïne Sports NOK Anti-Chafing Cream. I bought this in Paris and used it immediately throughout the trip. A good test, since it was 30°C+.
Akileïne Sports NOK Anti-Chafing Cream is a thick, white cream that you massage into the skin on areas that tend to get irritated from friction. Thighs for me, but it can be used all over the body. The cream sinks into the skin quickly: it’s soft and leaves your skin feeling protected and nourished (thank you, shea butter). And it doesn’t leave a visible layer or white cast – winnin’.
And does it work? Yup. I didn’t experience any discomfort throughout the weekend and found I only needed to apply it once during the day. I recently took it with me on a trip to Bobbejaanland (Het Plezantse Land, dah.) and it survived a full day of walking in the sun and being drenched in filthy water from some of the rides. Approved!
Akileïne Sports NOK Anti-Chafing Cream is available at pharmacies or online for € 11,20. A little goes a long way, making cost per application next to nothing.
