HAUL: Glossier

New year, new me, new Glossier order. The cult beauty brand recently started shipping to France so I asked my sweet darling sister Anne to be my Glossier mule du jour. All in the name of beauty, of course.

It’s been a while since I’ve put my French to good use, but when Glossier finally decided to ship within France, I had to. While the brand is currently also shipping within the U.K., I don’t have any relatives there to bring me the little pink pouches. So Glossier FR, it is. Oui!

So what’s inside those pink pouches? The first thing I knew I had to buy was Solution. Glossier’s exfoliating skin perfector has been sold out quite a few times since its launch last year, so you have to be quick to get your hands on it. And I was! Solution comes in its own seperate packaging, which is - let’s be honest - cute, but quite a waste of material and it made me want to eat potato chips even more than I usually do.

Another thing about Solution is that I didn’t expect it to be so damn tiny. For paying € 22, I expected a bigger bottle than this 130 ml one. But if it ends up being the solution (ha) for my skin issues, I guess I’ll be less reluctant to pay the price next time.

Since I wasn’t planning on buying Solution only, I added some Lidstars to my cart as well. These glistening eye glows are relatively new to the Glossier range and swatches I’ve seen online made me curious enough to buy two of them for € 30. Not cheap for eyeshadows, but I’m hoping ‘Cub’ and ‘Moon’ will be effortless additions to my everyday make-up look.

Last but not least: Lash Slick film form mascara. I’m always on the lookout for a good mascara and I generally gravitate towards comb-type brushes like Lash Slick has. This one wasn’t cheap at € 16, but it doesn’t break the bank either. Eager to give this one a go!

I also received some Glossier goodies! Cute stickers which tbh I’ll find too cute to actually put on anything so I’ll hoard them for life, and a sample of the Milky Jelly Cleanser. I’m not big on these kind of impractical skincare samples, but I’ve heard so many things about this cleanser I’ll be trying it anyway. Who knows, maybe it’ll end up in my next Glossier haul.
